Paediatric care

Peadiatric physiotherapy is a specialized area of physiotherapy that focuses on the evaluation and treatment of children suffering from a variety of conditions affecting their physical development, movement, and functional abilities. Pediatric physiotherapists work with children from birth to adolescence, tailoring interventions to their specific needs and goals. Developmental delays, neuromuscular disorders, orthopaedic conditions, respiratory conditions, and genetic disorders are some of the conditions that paediatric physiotherapists may treat. Treatment may include exercises to improve strength, flexibility, and coordination, manual therapy to improve joint mobility, and family education and support to promote optimal physical development. Children who are unable to travel to a clinic or hospital for treatment can receive paediatric physiotherapy at home. Children with mobility issues, chronic conditions, or who require ongoing treatment may benefit from home-based paediatric physiotherapy.
