Orthopaedic care

Orthopedic physiotherapy is a branch of physiotherapy that focuses on the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of conditions affecting the musculoskeletal system, which includes bones, joints, muscles, and ligaments. Orthopedic physiotherapists work with patients who have musculoskeletal injuries or disorders, such as sprains and strains, fractures, osteoporosis, arthritis, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Orthopedic physiotherapy aims to reduce pain, increase mobility and range of motion, improve strength and flexibility, and assist patients in returning to normal activities as soon and safely as possible. Exercises, manual therapy techniques, modalities such as heat or ice, and education on proper body mechanics and ergonomics may all be used in treatment. The duration and frequency of treatment will be determined by the severity of the patient’s condition as well as their individual treatment plan.
